If you are looking to see the local Andean side of Cusco, we have created for you this Andean tour package full of tradition, adventure, culture and more, for this we will need 10 days of your time, to take you an enriching and lively experience in the Andes mountains of Cusco sharing with the Andinos and listening to what they think of the navel of the World.
Day 1 : Cusco city- In your first day to Cusco we will start visiting the Main local Market of Cusco we will get to Saqsayhuaman , cristo Blanco, and Qoricancha Museum, we will have a small city tour around Cusco area with our Private transportation, we will also have a nice meal at Green Point Cusco restaurant for your first day to Cusco !
Day 2 : For your second day we will take you to Saqsayhuaman an incredible fortress with underground tunnels, we will visit Qenqo where is the biggest and heaviest stone of Cusco, we will walk to temple of the moon, well known for its incredible erosions in the rock, we will visit the Temple of the Monkeys, a place with amazing rock carvings, we will have a small workshop of the Incan cosmogony on the place, we will visit chektaqaqa a ceremonial cave with thousands of years old, we will end up having lunch at a Local restaurant in San Pedro market where we will have different local dishes to choose. we will end around 3 pm.
Day 3 : On your third day we go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Pisac, this place is well known for its fairs and textiles, and shamanic retreats, we will start going to the local market where we will buy some things for our Amazing downhill Inca trail, our transport will take us to the highest point of the mountain where we will begin our downhill journey along a beautiful Inca trail with panoramic views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
We will have lunch in the house of a family in some community of the Sacred Valley. We will have the opportunity to see Andean life closely and gain a deeper understanding of the Lifestyle in the Andes.
Day 4 : Free day, we will take this Day off
Day 5 : For your fifth day we will take you to the heights of the Andes in the Valley of Calca where we will visit the archaeological site of Ancasmarca with beautiful landscape of the Valley, we will visit the community of Maucau with 13 thousand feet of altitude, there we will have the opportunity to see once more again the lifestyle from up close but this time in the High Andean communities of Cusco, this experience will bring you back to your roots where we live in harmony with the earth, they will invite us some dishes of the area, especially llama, trout, sheep or alpaca, we could also have a nice walk down hill with some alpacas or lamas around, then we will enjoy the rest of the Day at the Lares hot springs where we will have everything ready for your night camp (all camping equipment included), you will be amazed at how beautiful it is to take a camp next to the thermal baths of Lares.
Day 6: We will have a very local breakfast around the main square of Lares , you will enjoy part of the morning at the hot springs, then our private transportation will take us back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, yo will have the rest of the afternoon to have a walk around urubamba or Ollantaytambo, We will need you to rest very well since we will pick you up very early in the morning for your Tour to Machu Picchu.
Day 7 : Machu Picchu Tour, We will start at 5:30 am in your hotel to head to the Urubamba Local Market where we will have a light breakfast in the Andean style, we will learn about different local products, our transportation will take us to Ñaupa a Sacred Hidden site on the way to Ollantaytambo, we have asked for permission to the community members to let us in to this incredible ceremonial site with amazing carvings on the rock, then we will have 3 to 5 hours driving with several stops in different sacred sites, corn fields, cacao and coffee plantations, then we get to Cocalmayo Hotsprings where we will jump in to the pools to relax our muscles, we will have lunch in the Local restaurant from Ms. Laura trying her delicious fried trout with french fries , then our transportation will take us to Hydroelectric Train station, where we will start our amazing trek 3 hours to Aguas Calientes town, this is 3 ours trek straight with no hills passing through the Jungle of Cusco,.
Day 7: After our nice night at El Mistico Machu Picchu which includes a delicious breakfast , we will be ready to get in the bus to take us to the amazing Sacred Archaeological site of Machu Picchu , after our 2 hours guiding listening to the conventional guide from MP we will have 2 different alternative treks in MP area to the Sun gate and the Incan bridge, we will have the whole day from 5:00am having the opportunity to see the Sunrise and Enjoying Machu Picchu to 12:00pm then you will have the opportunity to lunch in any touristic restaurant you want, with your family or friends ( not included) . the Train take us back to Ollantaytambo. where our private transportation will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Day 8: We will have other amazing full day Inca Trail in Ollantaytambo where we will have amazing views of the Sacred Valley, we will pass by ancient Incan walls and water channels , we will also see an incredible Inca terrace in a pyramidal shape, we will get to Ollantaytambo Sacred Temple after our Inca trail from Pumamarca site , we will have lunch in a conventional restaurant from the main square in Ollantaytambo, we will also visit Choco museum for a while. if you have a bit more energy we could also do Pinkuylluna Trek which has amazing views of the Ollantaytambo Town.
Day 9 : For your ninth day there will be no more walks, we will visit the temple of Chinchero a very intrigued place, then our transportation will take us to the Archaeological site of Moray famous for its terraces in spiral shape. and we will visit the Maras salt pools where we will have a brief explanation of this amazing place. our private transportation takes you to your Hotel in Cusco since your flight will be tomorrow in the morning or late in the noon.
Day 10: Enjoy Cusco city flight from Cusco to Lima.
